Dynamic Simulation

Dynamic Simulation

Dynamic simulation uses computer programmes to model the time varying behaviour of a system. Dynamic simulation has become an integral part of process engineering, allowing increasingly complex design, control and operability issues of modern plants to be resolved. Used at an appropriate point in design, dynamic simulation has the potential to dramatically reduce project costs and technical risk and is hence associated with high payback ratios. Dynamic simulation offer solution to plants problems such as:

  • Design validation for complete process and control schemes
  • Compressor control and surge protection
  • Troubleshooting
  • Over-pressure protection (HIPPS)
  • Sizing and operation production systems
  • Validating operational/start-up procedures
